Taking Care…
I appear to have hit a small snag in my path to self sufficiency. I sowed the seeds, I tilled the soil, I bought the necessary equipment (trowel, mini green house etc), but one thing that I hadn’t counted on: My sister’s way of ‘Taking Care’ of plants.
I love my sister to bits, but it appears that she meant to ‘take care’ of my plants while I was away in the sort of mafia sense, rather than in the Mother Theresa sense that I meant her to. During my ‘traincation’ jaunt around Europe for a couple of weeks – incidently in the hottest couple of weeks so far this year – it appears that she neglected to water any of the plants at all.
Her insistence that she “did actually water them” is slightly cast into doubt by the fact that I have returned to total mummification of my watercress, parsley, coriander, and basil, while the tomatos and chilis have neglected to germinate at all.
Ho hum…
I’ll have to start again from scratch.

Oh no! What a shame! But the comment about mafia-esque “taking care” did make me laugh!
But that’s the beauty of nature right, you can always start again

p.s. David Mitchell! I secretly love him too.
Yes, back to the drawing board for me – at least I know what I will be doing all weekend!

Yay for David Mitchell love!
